Michael Brown and Darren Wilson: Looking back through 90 years of history

Ferguson, Missouri has a history that is worth exploring when looking at the 2014 incident between 18-year-old Michael Brown and Darren Wilson, a policeman with Ferguson Police Department. 

nov10_emailOn Tuesday, November 10th the Community Psychology, Liberation Psychology, and Ecopsychology Specialization welcomes Dr. George Libsitz of U.C., Santa Barbara for the presentation Fair Housing and the Ferguson Conjuncture. Dr. Libsitz will explore a ninety-year history of the area in an effort to better understand the ninety-second interaction between Michael Brown and Officer Darren Wilson that took place in Ferguson, Missouri on August 9, 2014.

This lecture is open to the public and free of charge. We welcome the community to join students in the Community Psychology, Liberation Psychology, and Ecopsychology Specialization for a captivating talk on a topic that affects the collective psyche of our communities.
