Her work with 501(c) (3) organizations has enhanced the sector with on-purpose success through her proven technique of S.T.O.R.Y. (Structure, Target, Ownership, Relatability and YOU), she has simplified business strategy. Using this technique for creating growth, strong board governance, productive teams, and sustainable fundraising and revenue strategies, Dr. Gordon has empowered hundreds of organizations nationwide. With a passion for youth development, she has created sustainable programs for South Central Los Angeles youth organization, A Place Called Home, including a music collaboration with Berklee College of Music, and the David and Linda Shaheen Scholarship, which encourages a new population of youth to consider higher education. Her work with CoachArt Organization, which mentors chronically ill youth in the arts and athletics, has enabled it to grow and serve more than 1,400 children annually. Dr. Gordon’s ability to shed light on causes that bring positive impact was documented in the film, From Watts to Africa, which was showcased at the 2015 Pan African Film Festival. Her company, Beyond Story, focuses on individual and business implementation through the art of story.
