Gibraltar Fire in Montecito, California

Dear Pacifica Community,

The Gibraltar fire broke out in the hills above Montecito, west of Montecito Peak and a half mile below Camino Cielo, at 5:16 a.m., this morning, Thursday, October 29.

Fire officials have extended the evacuation warning to the zone that includes Pacifica’s Ladera Campus. This is only a warning, and there is no evacuation order in effect.

Pacifica is currently not evacuating and we are monitoring the situation closely. Classes are planned tol occur as scheduled. If the situation changes and classes must be cancelled at the Ladera campus you will be notified as noted below.
